Weekly brunch affair on Sundays - one of the weeks was to Robertson Quay's Bar Bar Black Sheep . We had burgers under the sun and I guess it was a bad choice after seeing other diners ordering the tempting breakfast set . Robertson Quay have got to be one of the best dating spots - tranquil & good food around . Nuff' said .
Caught Resident Evil : Retribution at Shaw Premiere . Unsure if I've watched the previous episodes before , I actually think this is episode is pretty good . I find Li Bing Bing really hot and charismatic , do I even need to mention what she wore ? You can obviously tell from the movie poster with the actresses looking fearless .
Daddy's Birthday @ Seafood Paradise ( 91 Defu Lane , 10 Swee Hin Building )
It was Mom's idea to dine in the midst of industrial estates . Really gotta hand it to her for being able to locate such hidden restaurants . The dishes were equally good esp the creamy crab that stood out among the rest . It was no surprise that the crab tasted so good together with my favorite fried mantous because the crab is their signature dish . Happy Birthday to my old man , I love you !
My Saturday started early with breakfast at Thomson which serves rly cheap dimsum at $2 / plate if I remember correctly . ( Address here - 244F Upper Thomson Road ) . Aftermath , we strolled in town to see Takashimaya overcrowded with shoppers buying mooncakes . So we spent the entire afternoon at Ion until dinner time . It was Yon's first book out so it calls for a " celebration " for all of them to feast and hang out together . Btw , so far Buffet town is the cheapest international buffet that I've been to . With the price tag , do not expect quality food but variety is still acceptable . ( P.S NO CHOCOLATE ECLAIR AGAIN !!! ) I got really bored of the x 5 hours straight army talk so I made Bryan take me to Thomson for some Ice cream . Tried Salted Caramel for the first time and I loved it ! The ice cream shops were filled to the brim even at 1am , we should have more places opening till late .
Brunch @ Pique Nique on Sunday before a movie at Cineleisure . Watched Savages and it wasted two hours of my life. Half the time I didn't get what they were doing , the other half waiting for the movie to end . The movie just didn't make much sense , just some drug dealing and collaboration for partnership which did not interest me at all .
Had dinner at Robertson quay's brussels sprouts . Disappointing size of mussels , if they are supposedly known for their mussels . Dinner was overpriced but ambiance was pretty good . Its always good to hang out on Sundays because usually its happy hour all night . Champagne/wine are always so cheap on Sundays !
love,
sheryl
