白色情人节快乐

It is my tradition to celebrate White Valentines day or at least , acknowledge that there is . I look forward to White's day more than the overrated 14th February because no restaurants / florists / retail stores hike up to exorbitant prices and its a quiet day , but still special .

In Japan, Valentine's Day is typically observed by girls and women presenting chocolate gifts (either store-bought or handmade), usually to boys or men, as an expression of love, courtesy, or social obligation. Handmade chocolate is usually preferred by the recipient because of the perception of sincerity, effort, and emotion put into a home-made confection.

Last year , I lacked sincerity and effort because I got him champagne chocolates from Royce . So this year , I handmade him chocolates and a card . We had a simple dinner at Korean BBQ too !  So thankful for the old tradition of chocolates giving and not an extravagant gift .

Happy White Valentine's day!
