I love to do what I do best , food hunting . My ideal place for food is usually a cafe that sits in a corner of Singapore , well hidden so you get your peaceful retreat while you enjoy your meal . This latest food haunt is now my new favorite ! The Garden Slug is tucked in a corner surrounded by landed properties so its kind of hard to locate if you are not driving . The plus point is that it is situated in the East so its pretty convenient for people residing in the East like me .
Its quite funny how I visited so many restaurants and good cafes for chill outs or meals but I have no idea how the interior of the place looks like . I usually take the outdoor seats unless the heat is really unbearable . I have no idea how does The Garden Slug looks like interior but their counter looks pretty cute already .
It was a hearty meal at The Garden Slug with quality food served . As usual , I cannot do without my pasta fix and frankly , pasta never really go wrong . They are so generous in their portions and I like that because I can eat alot on certain days . Their Red velvet pancakes are really worth a mention and a MUST TRY . I've tried Red velvet cupcakes , yes . But pancakes ? Never did . When the pancakes was served , It was not picture worthy but after the first bite out of that mess , I was really amazed by the taste. It tasted so much better than the cupcake version . Kudos to such a creative invention for the dessert menu !
