Saveur : French at bargain price

Finally a very good Sunday without having to rush to meet Bryan's book in time . I cannot ask for more than the luxury of time so we spent the entire Sunday lazing in bed with our lappys side by side .

I decided to have Saveur for dinner . French food - I love . If you intend to go to Saveur , please reach at 5.30pm to queue as it opens at 6pm . They do not take any reservations and its strictly based on walk ins . Why the long queue ? They are famous for their cheap fare of french food , enough said .

#01- Angel Hair Pasta with Tiger prawn and Lumpfish caviar [ $6.90 ]
#02- Pan Fried Foie Gras with Lentil and Pickled Onion 70g [ $14.90 ]
#03- Confit of duck with Orange Segment and Saute Shittake [ $8.90 ]
#04- Crispy Pork Belly with 62.5degree egg with Diced vegetable [ $10.90 ]

Seemed like we over ordered , but we did not . Portions came in just right for us to be able to dig in 4 entrees . Bill came up to $51.30 which was dirt cheap considering the fact that ingredients used for our meal were not cheap . Every dish was well cooked to my liking ! If I have the time to spare for early dinners at 6pm , Saveur would definitely be my first choice .

xoxo,
sheryl
